EVENT FAQ

The first ever Boulder Fan Fest will take place March 6th and 7th, 2027. It's a ways out, but we want to make sure we curate the event Boulder deserves.

The first ever Boulder Fan Fest will be held at Hilton on Canyon (Embassy Suites Boulder and Hilton Garden Inn Boulder). There will be programming and content scheduled across both neighboring hotels.

It's important to know, Boulder Fan Fest is an inclusive fan event for everyone. One part comic convention, one part fan festival, and all parts fun. We intend to give Boulder an event that covers pop-culture, comic books, gaming, costuming, and so much more.

Boulder Fan Fest intends to welcome a wide variety of vendors, crafters, artists, creators, and community groups. We'll share our full vendor list ahead of the show.

Yes. Boulder Fan Fest is open to all ages and is put on by an adolescent focused nonprofit. There will be programming for all ages, but we will have a dedicated space for children programming.

Boulder Fan Fest may be in its first year, but the team running it has decades of experience running comic conventions and festivals. Although Better Feelings Foundation is putting the event on, much of the team is the same team that operates Project-Nerd, an established name and force in the industry.

TICKET FAQ

Tickets are now available with early bird pricing through August 2026, online pricing until the event weekend, and then standard pricing at the door.

Badges and tickets will be available for pickup at the box office upon arrival. We will not be mailing badges ahead of time for our first year.

At this time the only place to buy tickets is through our website and linked box office. Any other websites offering tickets to our event are a scam.

Absolutely. Our Volunteer Application is currently open and many shifts are half-days so you can enjoy the show the other half of the day.

COSPLAY FAQ

Yes! Although it is not required, cosplay is strongly encouraged. Boulder Fan Fest will have dedicated cosplay programming, a cosplay contest, and crafters on hand to make this a great experience for everyone that enjoys cosplay.

Boulder Fan Fest will feature a cosplay contest on Saturday evening. Details can be found on the Cosplay Page closer to the event.

Boulder Fan Fest will feature a small group of cosplay guests who will be responsible for judging the cosplay contest and providing other costume related content. We are not accepting guest inquiries at this time.

VENUE FAQ

The event itself is at the Embassy Suites by Hilton and the Hilton Garden Inn. Both hotels have available rooms at a discount.

The safety and wellbeing of our staff, exhibitors, guests, and attendees is our top priority. We will work closely with the venue, our staff, private security, as well as state and local law enforcement to ensure a great experience for all.

It is important to the Boulder Fan Fest team that we have an inclusive and accessible event. We have ensured our aisles and event areas meet ADA requirements and we have partnered with a Top 3 Accessible Hotel in Boulder (according to TripAdvisor).

The venue offers on-site parking (subterranean parking) with special daily rates available. There is also parking available across 28th Street at the mall.

There is a restaurant in each hotel, a place to purchase snacks, and we will have a bar setup in the event space.
